National Garden Scheme 2026
On Sunday, 21 June, from 2 to 5.30pm, 7 local gardens are opening as part of the National Garden Scheme. From city chic to relaxed wildlife retreat, you’ll learn how it’s possible to squeeze more than 150 plants into a small space, how reclaimed materials can add character, how to achieve a country house feel in a townhouse and how you can cultivate vegetables and flowers together with beehives and a mulberry tree. As access is via the house you also get the added benefit of seeing how other properties have been adapted.

Summer Fete 2026
The 15th Arlington Square Summer Fete will be held on Saturday, 5th September.
There will be tea & coffee, mocktails and homemade cakes and savouries, all needs are catered for. There will be the Human Fruit Machine, Coconut Shy., Face Painting and Splat the Rat plus, many more favourites. You can purchase homemade preserves and plants plus Kids Toys and Books. We have a wonderful Raffle and Tombola, all this available to the sound of live music.
The perfect afternoon out, all on your doorstep!

Arlington Square Christmas Fair
The Arlington Square Christmas Fair will be on Sunday, 14th December. The event kicks off at 3.30pm with mulled wine, cakes and savouries. We will also have a homemade preserve stall, the perfect Christmas gift. Christmas songs start at 4.00pm and we should end the event around 5.00pm with the arrival of Santa.

15th Annual Summer Fete 2025
It’s nearly time for the 15th Annual Summer Fete in Arlington Square. This year’s fun and frolics kick off at 1.30 on Saturday 6 September.
Please consider sparing 90 minutes of your time to help on a stall, or help us set up before the fun begins or lend a hand clearing up afterwards. We are asking that neighbours sign up early to volunteer to help make the 2025 fete the best ever. We can be flexible on time and duties and you will have plenty opportunity to enjoy the event. Volunteering is hugely rewarding and you get to meet knew people, form friendships and make a positive difference to your community.

Combined entrance for all the gardens is £10. Children are free and all the money raised will go the National Garden Scheme’s support for nursing and health charities. You can purchase tickets at any garden (card machines will be available). Look for the yellow posters and balloons. The gardens will be open from 2 to 5.30pm, Sunday June 29.
