Following the success of our popular pine cone bird feeder workshop in November and bug hotel making in January, we're delighted that Lily and Luke from Islington's Park Service will be joining us again for our Community Gardening Day on Saturday 14th March for another pine cone bird feeder workshop.
This fun and free session is perfect for kids and for anyone who'd like to support our local wild bird population of robins, wrens, tits and sparrows. The finished seed-covered pine cones will be a valuable food source for these birds ahead of a busy Spring making nests and raising chicks.
Gardeners are invited to come to the Square between 10am-1pm, and the bird feeder making will take place from 11am-12pm, with all materials provided. Finished bird feeders can be hung in Arlington Square's wooded area adjacent to Arlington Avenue afterwards.
