The Angel Canal Festival

The Angel Canal Festival took place on Sunday (1st September).

Admission to this family-friendly event was free and it ran from 11am to 4pm. It covers an area between the Plaquemine Lock pub (N1 8LB), the Narrowboat pub (N1 8PZ) and the Islington Boat Club (N1 8JX). The nearest underground station is Angel.

There were food stalls, waterway-related stalls, Morris dancers, live musical performances, boat trips and kayaking opportunities. And a wide variety of other stalls and family entertainment.

The Friends of Regent's Canal will have a stall on the main towpath.

Once again we are providing an online map and festival programme that will allow visitors to find their way around the site using smartphones. This will be available via the following link:- https://angelcanalfestival.co.uk/festival-2024.html

This grassroots event marks a coming together of various canal and community organisations.
