Pack Up appeal for volunteers

Can you spare some time on Monday mornings (up to 1.30pm) to join the team of lovely volunteers at Pack Up, the lunch club for local people in need?

Every week we serve up to 40 guests with a three-course meal at St James's Church Hall in Prebend Street. Pack Up was opened in October 2015 as a sign of our commitment to members of the street community and all those who depend on voluntary agencies for food and friendship.

Pack Up offers homemade soup, a selection of fresh sandwiches, a desert, tea and coffee to anyone who wishes to come. Everybody and anybody is welcome.
Volunteers for the project come from all walks of life and from right across the area.

The volunteers help our cooks prepare food, set up and lay tables and chairs, serve our guests and clear up.

You don't need to come every week, just join our regular volunteer pool.

Please contact hilly.janes@gmail.com if you'd like to find out more. You'll make new friends and really make a difference to our guests.
